The idea behind RecruitMe came about when my 16 year old son began his college recruiting. The amount of time spent on creating highlight videos, emailing/calling coaches, keeping up to date with his upcoming college showcase and league games was daunting. I quickly found out that talent isn't always quickly recongnizable. I have coached in the competitive environment for over a decade and I myself played in college. Times just are different than when Mom and Dad were trying to get recruited.
The majority of coaches get blasted with hundreds to thousands of emails on a regular basis and unless you are in the top 1% in your sport than the work needs to be done and done consistently. Filming games, trimming video clips, adding highlight reels, taking photos, being a presence on social media, and finding time to get in front of coaches is ALOT of work for a young athlete. Parents spend too much of their time putting in this work when it really should and needs to be the athlete. A college coach can identify when parents are doing the work and they want to hopefully talk directly to the athlete as they are researching if they want to invest time and money in the athlete first, then the parents.
RecruitMe designs and creates a custom website for the recruit that will get a coaches attention and save the coach and athlete a ton of time. Now all your highlight videos, links to your social accounts and email are all on a sinlge platform. Your upcoming college showcases and schedule are now displayed in the same platform. When emailing college coaches and providing a simple link to your website they will become much more engaged and be inclined to spend time researching you. This allows take the stress off the elite when having to send personal emails to each college coach as now their website will do a lot of the inital selling.
